Bryan Quevedo, a 21-year-old from Sacramento, CA, has found his passion in harness racing, and it’s all thanks to his family. Recently, Bryan achieved his first two pari-mutuel victories at Running Aces with Robbie Burns N on June 2 and 9, showcasing his talent in the sport. Bryan’s journey in the racing world began when his father, Edwin, immigrated from Guatemala to the United States at a young age. Edwin’s experience with Thoroughbreds in California paved the way for the Quevedo family to immerse themselves in the world of horse racing.
Transitioning from California to the Midwest was a seamless process for Bryan, as he and his brother Adrian spent their summers learning the ropes at Congress Hill Farms in New Jersey. The Quevedo family’s dedication to their horses is evident as they split their time between Running Aces and New Jersey tracks, ensuring that their 11 horses at Running Aces and ten at a nearby farm receive the best care and attention.
Bryan emphasizes that racing horses is a team effort for his family, with everyone pitching in to groom, train, and care for the horses.
