Scientific Director of the hydrometeorological center of Russia Roman Vilfand has told about what weather waits for Russians in June.
According to him, the focus of the hot weather will be in Western Siberia and the North of Krasnoyarsk region, in fact, to the border with Yakutia. In Chukotka is also expected hottest month.
In the European part of the country the average temperature in June is expected about norm. In Smolensk, Bryansk and Tver regions will be “a small negative deviation from the norm”, but about the cold weather it is not.
the first summer month will start with a “fresh weather”, according to Vilfand. “It will be real Arctic freshness” — said the meteorologist. Also during the month there will be some very hot periods when the temperature is above the norm by 5-6 degrees.
with respect to precipitation Vilfand reported that there will be more of the norm in the Kaliningrad region, the Crimea, the Krasnodar territory, on the Taimyr Peninsula and the Pacific coast. But the shortage of rain is expected in Khakassia, Tuva, Zabaykalsky Krai, the Amur region and in the North of Yakutia. This will increase the fire hazard in these regions.
