the head of the company “Operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine” Sergey Makogon announced the completion of a 4-day “negotiating marathon” to “Gazprom” in Vienna.
He wrote about this on his page in Facebook, stressing that then flies to Brussels for a timely signing of the inter-operator agreement with the Slovak GTS operator Eustream under the European rules.
on 20 December Moscow and Kiev signed a Protocol on gas cooperation, according to which “Gazprom” will conclude with “the Operator of Ukraine’s GTS” inter-operator agreement, and “Naftogaz” — a contract in which the book capacity to transport 65 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020 and 40 billion cubic meters in the years 2021-2024.
the Document also contains agreements on the settlement of the legal dispute, in which Gazprom had already paid Naftogaz $ 2.9 billion on the decisions of the Stockholm arbitration, as well as the intention to abandon all claims on which no final verdict.
in addition, the Protocol says that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will conclude with “Gazprom” settlement agreement on the withdrawal of the antitrust claims at 7.4 billion dollars.
the four-day negotiations were held in Vienna from 26 Dec. As noted by RIA Novosti, from the message Makagon is not clear whether ended all negotiations or only in the part of the company.
