The oldest man on Earth, the Briton Robert Walton, died at the age of 112 years. His family reported that Robert died in his sleep at his apartment. The last years he had cancer.
In last year’s interview, he called himself an ordinary guy, who just happened to live a very long life. In his childhood he, “as all” ill with mumps, measles and whooping cough, survived the epidemic of “Spanish flu” and the two world wars. Then lived in Canada and Taiwan, where he suffered malaria and has successfully recovered “two or three” operations, including after a recent hip fracture.
Walton celebrated the 112th birthday on March 29, and the title of the oldest men on the planet he was wearing less than two months — his achievement was officially listed in the Guinness Book of records on March 31. Prior to that, the oldest man on the planet was a Japanese Titaco Watanabe (February 23, he died at the age of 112 years and 355 days).
And the British abandoned the traditional postcards on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, who congratulated all subjects, whose age exceeded a hundred years old. Walton said that he already 10.
Who will get the title of the oldest men living on Earth, not yet reported. The oldest person on Earth is 116-year-old Japanese woman, Kane Tanaka, said TASS.
