In the Kremlin commented on the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about relations of Moscow and Minsk. As stated by the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, uncoordinated issues on the agenda did not indicate the crisis in relations between the two countries.
According to Peskov, it is impossible to tell that Moscow and Minsk are “at the stage of razdorova”.
“the Negotiations, which was a month earlier in Sochi, and the negotiations which were in St. Petersburg, from our point of view, suggest otherwise. Discussed substantive issues, – quoted Peskov “Interfax”. The governments of Russia and Belarus has done a Herculean job in coordination of a package of road maps in terms of the move towards integration and strengthening of the Union state”.
According to Peskov, the level of integration of the two countries “is now so high, and the country is so closely related to each other that some rough edges, of course, inevitable.”
Answering the questions of journalists about the timing of the signing of the road maps for the integration, the Kremlin’s spokesman said that the signing is a formality.
“it’s Important that they are consistent. This is a real great achievement”, – said Peskov.
the Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko met on December 20. Both leaders acknowledged that over 20 years from the date of signing the agreement on integration of the two countries, not all paragraphs of this agreement have been fulfilled. However, they both noted the progress in the process.
