Rosstat reported a preliminary assessment of the country's population at the beginning of the year. On January 1, 2020 it amounted to 146 million 745,1 thousands of people. It is noted that the indices decrease as of January 1, 2019, the population was 146 million 780,7 thousand people as of 1 January 2018 the country's population of 146 million 880,4 thousands of people.
