Buffalo Sabres player Tage Thompson is set to make a comeback on the ice after missing five games due to an injury. The Sabres’ coach, Lindy Ruff, has confirmed Thompson’s return to the lineup for the game against the Minnesota Wild.

Thompson, who is 27 years old, suffered a lower-body injury during a game against the Montreal Canadiens on November 11. Despite his absence, the Sabres managed to secure four wins out of five games.

So far this season, Thompson has been a key player for the Sabres, scoring a team-high of 11 goals and providing seven assists, totaling 18 points in just 16 games. Throughout his career with both the St. Louis Blues and the Sabres, Thompson has accumulated an impressive 271 points, with 143 goals and 128 assists in 388 games. He was initially drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (No. 26) back in 2016.
