Natalia Komarova has confirmed that her term of office at the head of the KHMAO ends in September 2020. She said that they are ready to work on, if it was supported by the President.

“I Can only wish you success” — said Putin at a video-conference with the head of the region, which was broadcast live on TV channel “Russia 24”.

Komarov was headed by Autonomous Okrug on 1 March 2010. Her candidacy to the Duma of Yugra was represented by the head of state. In September 2015 for a five year term she was elected the deputies of the regional Parliament. By law, political parties have the right to propose up to three candidates to the Governor of the Tyumen region, which will present a list of five candidates to the head of state until July 14, 2020.

Three candidates are introduced to the Duma by August 23. Then on September 13, the Duma of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous district needs to choose a Governor from the provided candidates.
