its-all-in-the-family-for-bryan-quevedo

Bryan Quevedo, a 21-year-old from Sacramento, CA, has found his passion in harness racing, and it’s all thanks to his family. Recently, Bryan achieved his first two pari-mutuel victories at Running Aces with Robbie Burns N on June 2 and 9, showcasing his talent in the sport. Bryan’s journey in the racing world began when his father, Edwin, immigrated from Guatemala to the United States at a young age. Edwin’s experience with Thoroughbreds in California paved the way for the Quevedo family to immerse themselves in the world of horse racing.

Transitioning from California to the Midwest was a seamless process for Bryan, as he and his brother Adrian spent their summers learning the ropes at Congress Hill Farms in New Jersey. The Quevedo family’s dedication to their horses is evident as they split their time between Running Aces and New Jersey tracks, ensuring that their 11 horses at Running Aces and ten at a nearby farm receive the best care and attention.

Bryan emphasizes that racing horses is a team effort for his family, with everyone pitching in to groom, train, and care for the horses. While Bryan enjoys driving and training, his ultimate goal is to become as skilled a trainer as his father. His recent successes in pari-mutuel races reflect his dedication and determination to excel in the sport.

Despite the demands of his racing career, Bryan remains committed to his family and their shared passion for harness racing. He credits his father for instilling in him the importance of hard work and safety on the track. Bryan’s first win at Running Aces was a significant milestone, boosting his confidence and reaffirming his commitment to making his parents proud.

With his father’s guidance and support, Bryan continues to hone his skills as a driver and trainer, aiming to follow in his father’s footsteps and achieve success in the racing world. His recent victory with Robbie Burns N showcased his ability to handle challenges on the track and emerge victorious, solidifying his place in the competitive world of harness racing.

As Bryan looks to the future, he remains focused on his training duties and the shared goal of his family to succeed in the sport they love. Despite the long hours and hard work involved, Bryan cherishes every moment spent racing horses with his family, knowing that their bond and dedication will drive them towards even greater achievements in the world of harness racing.
