**Investigation Ongoing After Malkin’s Cup Rings Found at Home**

The Allegheny County (Pa.) Police Department reported on Thursday night that Evgeni Malkin’s three Stanley Cup rings, which had gone missing following a burglary at his home last weekend, were discovered in the Pittsburgh Penguins star’s residence. An investigation into the burglary is still in progress, with police not disclosing whether any suspects have been identified.

Malkin, in a statement released by the team Thursday night, expressed his gratitude to the Allegheny County Police, the Sewickley Heights Police, and the entire Penguins organization. He mentioned the overwhelming support and concern from his teammates and fans over the past few days, emphasizing how much it means to him and his family.

The burglary at Malkin’s residence in the Pittsburgh suburb of Sewickley occurred on Saturday, the same day the Penguins faced off against the Ottawa Senators. A 911 call was made a few hours after the 4 p.m. puck drop. Malkin was absent from the game due to an upper-body injury.

During the time of the burglary, KDKA-TV reported that Malkin’s home security system was inactive, and his safe was found open. This incident is part of a string of break-ins at the homes of professional athletes, with names like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, and Luka Doncic also falling victim.

The FBI’s Warning and League Responses

The FBI recently issued a caution to sports leagues regarding crime organizations targeting professional athletes. According to a Liaison Information Report obtained by ABC News, the NFL and NBA sent security alerts to their players following the break-ins, some of which happened while players were away with their teams for road games.
