In Irkutsk held a preliminary hearing in the case of the former Minister of forest complex of Angara region Sergey Cheverda. The official is accused on two articles of the criminal code – complicity in illegal logging and violations of the regime of specially protected objects, according to STRC “Irkutsk”.
According to the UK officials and officials of the Center for forest protection, Kazachinsko-Lensky and forestry service for the protection and use of wildlife of Irkutsk region illegally agreed to conduct clear sanitary felling of trees in a specially protected area state nature reserve “Tocolor”. Damage to the forest Fund amounted to 740 million rubles.
