SW Rendezvous 2024 Wraps Up with Success

The recently concluded XVIII edition of the SW Rendezvous was a resounding success, with participants and organizers alike celebrating five days of pure enjoyment.

The event came to an exciting close at sea, with the SW105 Kiboko and the new SW96 Liberty showcasing their skills on the challenging 25nm-long course. Liberty emerged victorious, marking a perfect debut for her new owner. The SW82 Grande Orazio also put up a strong performance, displaying their competitive spirit throughout. The friendly rivalry between SW100 Padma and SW96 Nyumba added to the excitement until the very end.

Following the day’s races, participants gathered at the port for a debriefing and the prize-giving ceremony. Kiboko Tres received the Best Boat Handling award, while Liberty was recognized for Best Boat Performance. Nyumba was lauded for embodying the Rendezvous Spirit, and Padma II received the prestigious Willy Persico Trophy. In the racing fleet, RP-Nauta100 Morgana secured second place overall.

As owners and their yachts gear up for the summer season, Southern Wind is already looking ahead to the next event in Ibiza during the Ibiza Joy Sail in September 2024. The anticipation is high, with three Southern Wind Yachts already registered and more expected to join.

The Southern Wind Team extends their gratitude to all participants, as well as Giorgio Armani, the YCCS, and official partners Doyle Sails, Pantaenius, Hall Spars, and Pardo Yachts for contributing to a truly unforgettable event.
