The Chicago Blackhawks done gone and traded forward Lukas Reichel to them Vancouver Canucks on Friday, and in return they got a 2027 fourth-round draft pick. Reichel, who played in five of Chicago’s first eight games, managed to snag two goals and two assists. He’s got a total of 58 points, with 22 of ’em being goals, in his 174 career games.

Who’s Lukas Reichel, you ask? Well, he’s a 23-year-old fella who was the 17th overall pick in the first round back in 2020 out of Germany. Before this whole trade business, he racked up a solid 116 points in 121 career games with Chicago’s AHL affiliate. Not too shabby, huh?

Now, I ain’t no expert in hockey (not really sure why this matters, but hey, just go with it), but it seems like Reichel was making quite the impact on the ice. The Blackhawks must have had their reasons for letting him go, but maybe it’s just me, but I feel like they might end up missing his skills out there. Only time will tell, I reckon.
