Four months after its introduction, the institution-related vaccination requirement for nursing and health staff is not consistently enforced in any federal state. This is the result of a survey conducted by “Bild am Sonntag” among all 16 state health ministries.
According to this, more than 190,000 unvaccinated employees in the health care system were identified throughout Germany, but only 70 entry bans were issued – and that only in the three federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Brandenburg.
In the four federal states of Bavaria, Saxony, Hesse and Bremen, sanctions are completely waived for violations of the vaccination requirement. Four federal states could not provide any information.
The compulsory corona vaccination for employees in facilities for groups requiring special protection has been in effect since mid-March. Fines are also possible. But the federal states have so far made little or no use of this either.
